Sanctuary Software Joins Ohio Aerospace Institute

Advancing the aerospace community through connection, education and cutting edge research

Sanctuary Software expands its position in aerospace through its new membership in the Ohio Aerospace Institute. Joining the industry organization enables partnerships with Ohio’s world leading aerospace companies and government organizations. Membership also enhances Sanctuary Software’s opportunities for collaboration with past partners on ambitious projects.

The aerospace industry has been a key component of Sanctuary Software’s market since its founding in 1994. For over thirty years, Sanctuary Software has developed, delivered, and supported DO-178 firmware for airborne control systems. In the early 2000’s, Sanctuary Software was instrumental in the development of rugged transceivers, driving the adoption of fiber optics in commercial aerospace. Recently the company has focused on the development of firmware for high performance network switches for airborne systems.

“Aerospace is a key market for Sanctuary Software and Ohio industry overall. The market plays to our key strengths – practical adoption of emerging digital technology and standards-compliant implementation of safety critical systems. Membership in OAI enables connecting our strengths with industry leaders in commercial aviation, military, and space.”
– Michael Terry, President

Collaborations with members are already fostering innovation, with applications incorporating Sanctuary Software’s expertise in network communications, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality.
